Pursue The Dream - Signature Artwork

The exhibition was named after Wesley’s own dream: doing things he’d always wished to pursue, but couldn’t before. Pursue the Dream enabled him to create art he had always envisioned; transcending the traditional ways of Chinese ink. The exhibition also lets him fulfil his dream of inspiring others, so that they too can achieve their hopes no matter the obstacles they face. Through this exhibition, visitors can hopefully understand and appreciate art, which serves to prove that it has no boundaries, on a deeper level.

This was composed based on basic undeestanding of landscae painting and related techniques. The success of this composition leads to development of my signature in semi-abstract landscape composition. The beauty of mountains comes alive through the various ink tones and rising sun.

Introducing a globe as part of this composition was a bold challenge. For those who have experience in Chinese ink paintings would understand the challenge in painting a perfect globe. In many occasions, things were impossible due to one's mind, not because it was impossible.

This composition of (my favourite) fruits was 100% outline drawing using a Chinese ink brush. It looked simple and yet it took 2 hours to complete. It was a piece of work whereby every simple stroke is an effort in order to form the complet this.
